Remaining Signage

Moon yard sign

Most known signs were picked up today. If your house was missed, or you had already taken the sign down, we’d still like to get any signage back from you, if possible. This includes yard signs and car magnets. Please complete the form below and we’ll pick the items up.

Thank you again for your help with our campaign. I look forward to representing your voice on the Romoland School District Board of Trustees.

Signage Pickup

Thank you to all that hosted yard signs and car magnets. We will be picking those up on Wednesday, so if you’d just leave them in your yard for a few more hours, they will collected.

Thank you again for your support. I look forward to representing your voice on the Romoland School District Board of Trustees.

Thank You

With about 15 minutes left in the voting day, I’d like to take a moment to say “thank you” to everyone that took part in the process and everyone that worked our campaign. If you took the time to vote, thank you, no matter who you voted for. Participating in the process is the most important part.

I can say with certainty that we ran an intellectually honest campaign. Some things I’m proud of are:

  • All of our endorsements came through our website form; they can be verified, i.e. no need to allude to ‘supporters’ and then have no evidence posted, or worse yet, make up evidence.
  • We were pretty successful in getting signage posted, both in yards and on cars. The response was greater than anticipated and we exhausted our inventory. I think it helped create brand awareness, and we will take all of the “missing” signs as evidence that the messaging was working.
  • I showed up for a candidate forum instead of falsifying when I was notified of the event and then choosing to send a couple of hecklers instead.
  • I ran on a single message: To listen to the voice of the community. If I am fortunate enough to be elected, that is a promise that will be kept.
  • We advertised our “Meet Me in the Park” event for a full week ahead of time. The exposure was so successful, that a similar event was held on the same day. Perhaps it is true that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
  • We were proactive about what we did and not reactive.

Again, thank you. We will await the result and accept the result no matter what it is. The people will speak, as it should be.

My Favorite Image…

So it’s been kind of a long 8-10 weeks since I decided to run for this open board position, and there’s been a lot of work put in by countless people to promote this candidacy…for which I am, whatever the outcome, quite grateful for…but my favorite image, because it is quite telling…is this one:

And the number one reason is that it represents the ENDORSEMENT of the two organizations that represent more than 94% of the employees in the Romoland School District. Other candidates might say they have support, but no other candidate can claim ENDORSEMENT. These are people that interact, influence, motivate, find library books for, wipe the blood and sweat from, and just generally love your children on a daily basis. Not just one child or grandchild…YOUR child. I will be a voice for their concerns, and a voice for YOUR concerns. That has been my sole commitment during this campaign. To be your voice. Not only a voice for concerns, but a voice in the board room for all of the good things that are happening in our district, and trust me, there are many. I hear about them daily. It’s not ‘all about the kids’…it’s about “ALL of the kids.”

So maybe balloons might not make it so, but the vote of ALL the people, instead of the appointment of a just a few, will.

One More Day

As we approach Election Day, we will wrap-up our campaign with some reminders about why I, and so many of your neighbors, believe I am best positioned to serve this community as the representative for Trustee Area 5 on the Romoland School District Board of Trustees.

The attached one-page flyer, which may have landed on your doorstep sometime during the past week as our volunteers have gone door-to-door, is a good place to start.

Great Job, Mesa View PTA Moms

Thank you to all of the PTA moms that spent so much time organizing this event. Ceremonies and activities at my college preclude me from attending (although I know the other member of my household will attend!), but I think it is important to acknowledge all of the hard work and behind-the-scenes planning that goes into a great community event.

I will be honored to represent your voice and share the great things you do with the other members of the Romoland School Board. Great job, ladies!
